Utah Insurance Agency Alliance (UIAA) was started in February of 2002 by Richard Behling and Derick Wolsleger. Dan Skinner and Milo LeBaron later joined UIAA in an effort to build a network of independent agencies that benefit from access to more markets with resources of a large agency, thus helping these smaller agencies grow.

The Strategic Independent Agents Alliance (SIAA) program first began in 1983 in the New England area.  Derick and Richard were invited by SIAA of Keene, New Hampshire, to become part of a nationwide group of selected agents.  After careful review of the program, they became members and have now brought this very successful program to Utah.  They are using SIAA's knowledge and experience to establish a network of top agents who want to start new agencies or grow existing ones but lack the markets, resources, and knowledge to do so.

Both Derick and Richard have been in insurance the business for more than 20 years. Richard is the owner of Behling Insurance Agency in Payson Utah. Dan and Milo are also the owners of a long established family agency in Mesa, AZ, LeBaron & Carroll, LSI, Inc.  Both have been in the business for more than 20 years.  LeBaron & Carroll has been in business since 1959.

The goal of UIAA is to grow the independent agency system by helping to create new agencies and grow existing ones.
