How It Works

As a Member of UIAA, You Receive Access to Our Preferred Participating Companies In Two Methods:

First: Access Plus
To use Access Plus- , you submit completed applications or quote forms to the UIAA placement specialists who will then get competitive quotes from the various companies, choosing companies that best fit the risk.  The quotes are then emailed to you.  Then, you make the sale. UIAA never gets involved with your prospects or customers. You service them completely, from doing the binders to taking the claims and reporting them.  YOU are their agent. UIAA will split the commissions with the majority of commission going to our member. Average commissions are approximately 15% on new and renewal business.

Second: Direct Access
As you begin to write business with our companies through Access Plus- , you may become eligible for Direct Appointments or Sub Appointments.. With this method you receive your own sub-producer code and be able to talk to underwriters directly. You will receive the commissions direct from the company.  You then will pay UIAA 10% or less (scaled based on amount of growth) each month based on the overall property and casualty growth of your agency.  Any business you have previously written in Access Plus- with that company will be rolled to your new code.

PROFIT SHARING:
Members qualify for profit sharing with a company by meeting two requirements:

1.  You must have a sub code in the Direct Access method.
2.  Your loss ratio with that company must be less than 60%.

There is no premium minimum.  As the UIAA group earns profit sharing, those who qualify receive their share using a formula that  rewards profitability.

EQUITY SHARING:
UIAA requires a reasonable percentage of equity in the revenue growth of all agencies who qualify to become a member.  This is not ownership in your agency entity.

ADMISSION FEE TO BECOME A MEMBER:
There is a one time admission fee to join UIAA and SIAA nationally to be eligible to receive all the benefits available today and in the future.
